Automatically turn PDFs & YouTube into personal PODCASTS

pluCast is for anyone with a large backlog of items to read or watch — and moments in the day when their ears are free but their hands and eyes are not. This includes busy executives who have scores of 'weekend-reading' to catch up on, homemakers juggling packed schedules but still finding themselves with moments of 'dead time', students drowning under mountains of 'optional' reading, and frankly anyone whose job keeps them on their feet or on the road — commuters, carpool/shuttle parents, even dog walkers! pluCast turns your unread & unwatched pile of 'important must-read later' content into something you can absorb while you go about your life.

Every pluCast episode is a natural two-person Q&A conversation where one host explains the material and the other asks clarifying questions — much like a real podcast interview. This 'conversational' format is known to significantly improve comprehension and recall, making it easier to absorb complex material even while multitasking. Of course, a podcast is not a substitute for focused and dedicated consumption of the source material - but if we were only that focused and dedicated! pluCast fills that gap - listening to a pluCast episode on your bookmarked research paper is still better than completely ignoring it!

You can upload PDF documents or provide links to YouTube videos. pluCast will use these to generate your podcast. We are also working hard to generate podcasts from audio (either user uploaded OR recorded on pluCast), as well as from publicly accessible URLs and links.

Every pluCast episode is a natural two-person conversation where one host explains the material and the other asks clarifying questions — much like a real podcast interview. pluCast offers two quality levels: Regular and HD. HD episodes use enhanced voice processing for richer, more expressive audio. The underlying conversational content and transcript are similar; the difference is in enunciation, intonation, pacing and vocal expressiveness. You can choose your preferred quality each time you create a podcast, or set a default in your account settings. Listen for yourself — here are a few sample episodes:
